ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT UNDER THE CONTINGENCY THEORY PERSPECTIV

This work is based on studies by Burns & Stalker (1960) and Lawrence Lorsch (1967), who contributed with the use of variable “environment” to define organizational structures in companies. In terms division labor factor, results confirmed that structure model classified as a mechanical structure. other factors, company presents evidence two models structure, both organic. It can be said findings corroborate literature theory contingency, which ensures there no single formula for managing company.
